| Obverse description | Within an ornate Rococo cartouche featuring scrolling acanthus foliage and a shell motif at the apex, a three-line Latin inscription reading D · GELRIÆ is displayed in the field, with the date below. The cartouche is rendered in high relief with finely detailed asymmetrical scrollwork characteristic of mid-18th-century decorative engraving. The abbreviated legend denotes the Duchy of Gelderland, and the date appears at the base of the cartouche interior. The entire design is set within a plain inner field bounded by a milled border. |

| Reverse description | At center, the quartered shield of Gelderland is depicted, bearing two rampant lions passant guardant facing each other across the palar division, the arms surmounted by an elaborate open crown with floral ornaments and beaded arches. The crowned shield occupies the central field and is surrounded by a circular Latin legend reading IN.DEO.EST.SPES.NOSTRA, meaning 'In God is our hope,' which runs along the periphery. The outer rim is defined by a beaded border consistent with the milled technique of the issue. |
