| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the quartered arms of Gelderland, displaying two rampant lions facing one another across a divided shield, surmounted by an elaborate ducal crown rendered in fine detail. The shield is framed by a plain cartouche, with the entire device occupying the majority of the coin's face. A continuous Latin legend encircles the design along the inner border, reading IN DEO EST SPES NOSTRA. The periphery is bounded by a uniform beaded border. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents the large interlaced VOC monogram — the cipher of the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie — prominently occupying the central field, with the letters V, O, and C conjoined in the characteristic baroque intertwined style. A small sprig or branch device appears above the monogram at the top of the field, flanked on either side by a six-pointed star. The date 1791 is inscribed in the lower portion of the field beneath the monogram. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
