Reverse description The crowned arms of the Dutch Generality occupy the central field, flanked on each side by a crowned lion rampant serving as supporter. The entire armorial composition is set within a dotted inner circle, with the encircling legend positioned between the inner circle and the outer rim. The date is prominently placed above the crown at the top of the inner circle, a defining characteristic of Type 1 for this series. The overall composition reflects the formal heraldic style common to Dutch Republic coinage of the mid-seventeenth century.
