| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field depicts the Virgin Mary seated, draped and veiled, nursing the infant Christ who is shown with a nimbus; the figures are rendered in a devotional Gothic-influenced style characteristic of early seventeenth-century Italian coinage. The date 1614 appears in the lower exergue beneath the central device. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading MO NO VA AGVS SPICO PAL, abbreviating Moneta Nova Augusta Spinola Palatinus, and referencing the issuing authority Agostino Spinola. The coin's border is defined by a fine inner toothed rim. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bears the quartered heraldic shield of the Spinola family, displaying the arms of the County of Tassarolo with multiple quarterings including horizontal bars, a displayed eagle, and rampant lions, surmounted by a closed princely crown. A small six-pointed star appears to the left of the shield in the field. The encircling Latin legend VIRTVE CAESAREA DVCE reads around the periphery, attributing the ruler's authority to Imperial virtue, and is separated by stops.
