| Obverse description | The enthroned Madonna (Patrona Hungariae) is depicted facing slightly left within a beaded inner circle, holding the Christ Child on her left knee; the infant reaches upward toward her. The Virgin wears a crown and flowing robes rendered in the late medieval style characteristic of Transylvanian ducats. A heraldic shield appears at the base of the central device, flanked by decorative rosettes. The surrounding Latin legend reads SIGISMVND * * BATHORI • * N B, identifying the issuer and the Nagybánya (NB) mint. |

| Reverse description | The full-length armored effigy of Saint Ladislaus I of Hungary (Szent László) is depicted standing slightly to the right, clad in full plate armor. In his right hand he holds a battle-axe, and in his left he bears a globus cruciger, emblems of royal and saintly authority. The figure is rendered in the traditional Hungarian ducat style, with fine detailing on the armored surcoat. The surrounding Latin legend includes the saint's name and the date, reading S * LADISLAVS REX * 1597. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. |
