Beschrijving voorzijde A standing armored knight in full Renaissance-style plate armor occupies the center of the field, facing slightly to the right, holding an unsheathed sword upright in his right hand and a bundle of arrows symbolizing the united provinces in his left. The date is divided across the field on either side of the knight's lower body. The circumferential legend CONCORDIA RES - PAR:CRES:TRA. runs around the periphery in Latin, referencing the Dutch motto 'Concord makes small things grow.' The design follows the traditional Dutch ducat type, struck in high-relief gold with well-defined armor detailing.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse displays a five-line Latin inscription contained within a rectangular tablet with ornate foliate and scrollwork decoration framing the border on all sides. The inscription reads MO:ORD / PROVIN: / FOEDER: / BELG. AD / LEG.IMP., an abbreviation of 'Moneta Ordinum Provinciarum Foederatarum Belgii ad Legem Imperii,' meaning 'Money of the Federated Provinces of Belgium according to Imperial Law.' The tablet is surrounded by elaborate baroque-style flourishes at the corners and midpoints, giving the reverse a richly decorative appearance consistent with the traditional Dutch gold ducat type.
