The date is divided across the field on either side of the knight's lower body. The circumferential legend CONCORDIA RES - PAR:CRES:TRA. runs around the periphery in Latin, referencing the Dutch motto 'Concord makes small things grow.' The design follows the traditional Dutch ducat type, struck in high-relief gold with well-defined armor detailing. |
