| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of Prince Josef Wenzel I in right profile, rendered in high relief in the Baroque manner, wearing a flowing periwig with elaborate curls cascading over the shoulder. The truncation displays ornate drapery and decorative armor with scroll-work detail. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, interrupted at the base of the bust, reading IOS·WENC·D·G·S·R·I·PR·& GUB·DOM·DE LIECHTENSTEIN, expanding to Ioseph Wenzel Dei Gratia Sacri Romani Imperii Princeps & Gubernator Domus De Liechtenstein. The finely engraved portrait displays strong baroque artistic influence consistent with mid-18th century German die-cutting tradition. |
