Obverse description Draped and mantled bust of Prince Franz Josef I facing right, wearing the collar and badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended at the breast. A formal Latin legend encircles the effigy, reading from the upper left around the entire periphery of the field. The portrait is rendered in the refined baroque engraving style characteristic of late 18th-century German mint work.
