The circumferential Latin legend reads CORONAM DECORAM SERVATOR CONFERT ET SERVAT, while a two-line Latin inscription in the exergue reads NON EST MORTALE QUOD OPTO, together conveying a pious Baroque funerary and celestial allegory. |
