正面描述 Full-length frontal effigy of Ferdinand I in elaborate armour, holding a sceptre in his right hand and a globus cruciger in his left. The figure is depicted standing upright, with the head, sceptre, and feet breaking through a beaded inner circle that separates the central design from the surrounding legend. The portrait reflects the Renaissance royal iconographic tradition typical of Habsburg coinage of the mid-sixteenth century.

附加信息

Ferdinand I struck ducats through the Klagenfurt mint during his consolidation of the Habsburg hereditary lands following the death of his brother Charles V's abdication pressures and the broader reorganization of Inner Austria. Klagenfurt had only been formally designated the Carinthian capital in 1518, and its mint remained a secondary operation — most Habsburg gold of this period flowed from Hall in Tirol. That makes Klagenfurt-struck ducats from any Ferdinand I year considerably scarcer than their Hall counterparts.

Fr#41 is among the earlier Frühneuzeitliche ducats with documented Klagenfurt attribution, and survivors in collectible condition are infrequently offered.
