(Translation: Karl XIV king of Sweden, Norway, the Goths and the Wends)
Reverse description Central device comprising the crowned Swedish royal coat of arms — a quartered shield bearing the three crowns of Sweden and the lion of the Folkunga dynasty — set within a wreath of decorative chain-linked ornaments. The shield is surmounted by a large royal crown with detailed jewelled arches. The circular legend FOLKETS KÄRLEK MIN BELÖNING surrounds the wreath, reading 'The love of the people is my reward.' Below the shield, separated by a six-pointed star ornament, the mintmaster's initials C·B· and the date 1827 appear in the lower exergual area.
