The base of the composition features an elaborate baroque cartouche with foliate and scroll ornaments. The coin's edge is finely milled, and the field is smoothly finished throughout. |

The inscription is framed by an elaborate wreath of fruiting vines and floral sprays in the baroque manner. At the base of the inner circle, the engraver's initials 'I T' (for Jonas Thiébaud) appear. The outer border echoes the milled edge visible on the obverse, and the overall composition is symmetrical and finely executed. |
