| 表面の説明 | Draped bust of Grand Duke Carl Friedrich of Baden facing right, with powdered wig tied with a ribbon at the nape. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a naturalistic late Baroque style. The encircling Latin legend reads CAR. FRID. D.G. MARCH. BAD. & H.S.R.I. ELECT. G.PR. & and is separated from the toothed border by a fine inner circle. The engraver's initial B appears below the bust truncation. |

Baden's 1807 ducat-denomination pieces in silver are pattern strikes — produced not for circulation but to test dies or present to officials, a common practice among German states renegotiating their monetary identities following the Confederation of the Rhine reorganization of 1806. Charles Frederick had just seen Baden elevated to a Grand Duchy that year, and new coinage programs accompanied the political realignment. The Rheingold designation refers to the gold of the Rhine, a marketing and prestige distinction applied to certain Baden ducats of the period.
Wielandt Bad. 755 is a recognized pattern reference, struck in silver as a Probemünze from ducat dies.
