| Descrizione del dritto | A tall ornamental column surmounted by an eagle displayed occupies the center of the field, with the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei) depicted reclining on a pedestal at the column's base. A kneeling figure is positioned to the right of the column in an attitude of devotion or supplication, while additional decorative elements flank the base. The city name REGENSPVRG appears in the lower exergue. The circumferential legend, rendered in German, reads DES GLAVBENS LOHN IST SIEG VND CRON (The reward of faith is victory and crown), interrupted by the central device. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse bears a bold eight-line devotional inscription in German arranged across the entire field without additional pictorial devices, typical of Reformation commemorative coinage of the early eighteenth century. The text is set in varying character sizes for emphasis, with the prominent lines IUBEL JAHR and GÜTE GOTTES rendered in a larger font than the surrounding lines. The full inscription commemorates the bicentenary of the Lutheran Reformation, concluding with the precise date D.31.OCT.1717, referencing the anniversary of Martin Luther's posting of the Ninety-Five Theses on 31 October 1517. The coin's milled edge and fine die work reflect the high-quality production standards of Regensburg municipal coinage of the period. |
