The legend AVGVSTA VINDELICORVM arcs around the upper periphery with the date 1762 continuing to the right, all within a finely milled border. The mint-master's initials F.A.H. appear in the lower field. |

The encircling Latin legend reads FRANC I D G R I S A GER IER REX L B M H D T, abbreviating his full imperial and royal titles, separated by small rosette stops. A small engraver's initial T appears below the bust truncation. The coin is bordered by a continuous milled edge graining. |
