Obverse description Central device consisting of the Augsburg pine cone (Pyr) displayed within an elaborate baroque cartouche of scrolling acanthus foliage, surmounted by the city's triple-towered mural crown above, and a small imperial orb below. The legend AVGVSTA VINDELICORVM arcs around the upper periphery with the date 1762 continuing to the right, all within a finely milled border. The mint-master's initials F.A.H. appear in the lower field.

Reverse description Unadorned right-facing laureate bust of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I (Franz I), rendered in fine relief with elaborately curled long wig and truncated drapery at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads FRANC I D G R I S A GER IER REX L B M H D T, abbreviating his full imperial and royal titles, separated by small rosette stops. A small engraver's initial T appears below the bust truncation. The coin is bordered by a continuous milled edge graining.
