| Reverse description | Central fire altar flanked by two attendants standing in profile, closely following the standard Sasanian reverse design. Star and crescent symbols flank the altar flames in the upper field, elements inherited from the Hormizd IV prototype of Balkh. The Bactrian script word фopo (meaning 'tribute' or designating a fiscal function) appears as a countermark in the reverse margin. The overall composition preserves the ceremonial and religious iconography of the Sasanian fire-worship tradition, reappropriated for the political purposes of the Tokhara Yabghu rulers. |
