| Descrição do anverso | King Edward III depicted enthroned in full regalia beneath an ornate Gothic canopy, holding the royal sceptre and orb as symbols of sovereign authority. A crowned leopard's head appears in the field on each side of the enthroned figure, serving as heraldic supporters. The royal legend runs continuously around the periphery of the coin in uncial Latin lettering. The overall composition reflects the elaborate Gothic artistic style characteristic of English royal coinage of the mid-fourteenth century. |

| Descrição do reverso | An elaborate Gothic cross occupies the centre of the reverse, featuring a quatrefoil with a pellet at its heart; the terminals of the cross terminate in crowns, each also adorned with quatrefoils and stylised leaves. The entire central device is set within a double quatrefoil whose cusps are decorated with leaves, while leopards couchant are placed in each of the four quarters between the arms of the cross and the outer quatrefoil border. The peripheral legend, rendered in uncial Latin, carries the devotional phrase from the Gospel of Luke. The overall design is characteristic of the refined Gothic craftsmanship employed at the Tower Mint during Edward III's third coinage. |
