| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Palau, depicted as a shield bearing two figures — a traditionally dressed male and female — set against a field with a star and crescent moon, surmounted by a frigate bird in flight. The shield is flanked by decorative scrollwork and bordered by a wreath at its base. Eight five-pointed stars are arranged in a arc around the periphery of the coin.
