| Obverse description | The obverse bears the national coat of arms of Palau centrally positioned within the skull-shaped flan, depicting a maritime scene with a figure of a native fisherman in a traditional canoe above, and a seated figure of a man holding a trident flanked by a female figure below, all enclosed within a decorative cartouche. The arc legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU is inscribed above the arms, punctuated by six-pointed stars on either side. The motto RAINBOW'S END appears on a scroll below the central device. The denomination 1$ is inscribed in the lower field beneath the arms. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a bold, three-dimensional frontal rendering of a human skull conforming precisely to the outline of the skull-shaped flan.
