正面描述	The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau at center, depicting a sea deity seated beside a mermaid within an ornate shield, surmounted by a traditional Palauan canoe. The shield is flanked by decorative floral and foliate elements. Six five-pointed stars are arranged symmetrically in the field to either side of the arms. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper portion of the rhombus-shaped field, while the inscription RAINBOW'S END appears on a scroll at the base of the shield. The denomination 1 $ is inscribed at the lower point of the rhombus.
