| Opis awersu | The central field displays the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Palau, featuring a shield with a crowned figure holding a trident flanked by a female figure, surmounted by a traditional outrigger canoe above the shield. The motto RAINBOW'S END appears in the lower portion of the shield, and the denomination 1$ is inscribed in the lower field. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, flanked on each side by a row of five stars. |

| Dodatkowe informacje |
Palau began issuing marine-themed collector coinage in the 1990s under licensing arrangements that route production and distribution almost entirely through overseas minting and marketing firms — the coins are legal tender in name, but Palau's own financial system has little practical involvement in their lifecycle. The orange-lined triggerfish series sits squarely in that commercial collector market, produced for hobbyists rather than circulation.
KM#282 is copper-nickel rather than the silver used in Palau's more premium marine issues from the same period.
