| 表面の説明 | The complete coat of arms of the Republic of Namibia occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield supported by two rearing oryx antelopes, surmounted by an African fish eagle with wings displayed. Below the shield, a scroll bears the national motto rendered in three separate banners reading UNITY, LIBERTY, and JUSTICE. The date 1995 appears in the lower field beneath the arms. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA runs along the left and lower periphery, all contained within a continuous beaded border. |

Namibia's 1995 Miss Universe dollar was struck to commemorate Michelle McLean, who won the Miss Universe title in 1992 — the first major international beauty title claimed by an independent Namibian, just two years after the country severed its administrative ties with South Africa. The coin was issued under the young republic's first commemorative program, when Namibia was still establishing the basic infrastructure of its national mint arrangements, relying on external striking facilities.
