The figure stands upon a stepped pedestal bearing the date 1996 within a rectangular cartouche. To the left of the effigy, a crowned royal device accompanies the vertical legend KING / KAMEHAMEHA arranged upward; to the right, the vertical legends SOVEREIGN and HAWAII flank the field. The deeply mirrored proof fields contrast sharply with the finely frosted devices, and the entire design is bordered by a continuous beaded inner rim. |
