Above the shield rises a helm surmounted by a palm tree, while a scroll below carries the national motto. The legend REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, with the date 1982 positioned prominently at the base of the field. The mint mark FM for the Franklin Mint appears to the left of the date. |
