St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague was begun in 1344 under Charles IV and took nearly six centuries to complete — the western facade wasn't finished until 1929. Niue has issued a considerable run of fine silver pieces under licensing arrangements that allow it to produce collector coins bearing subjects entirely unrelated to the island itself, a legal quirk of its status as a self-governing territory in free association with New Zealand.
