The dimensions here are not a misprint. Cook Islands has issued a series of elongated rectangular silver pieces — sometimes called "silver bars with legal tender status" by skeptics — that exist primarily as novelty bullion for the collector market rather than anything approaching circulation coinage. The Cook Islands government has long licensed its monetary authority to private minting operations, most notably the New Zealand-based Mints and European distributors, generating face-value instruments that bear its name while being designed, marketed, and sold entirely abroad.
