| Description du revers | The central field features a multi-colored printed image of the Pontifical of Płock, a renowned medieval illuminated manuscript. To the left, a depiction of the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Masovia in Płock is rendered in color. Overlaid against the manuscript image is a fragment of the Cathedral's celebrated Romanesque bronze doors. Along the lower rim, three Swarovski crystals are set as decorative embellishments. A vertical ornamental strip derived from the motifs of the Cathedral's bronze doors runs along the right rim, with the legend PONTYFIKAŁ PŁOCKI inscribed across the design. |

The Pontifical of Płock is an illuminated manuscript produced in the diocese of Płock, Poland, around the turn of the thirteenth century — one of the oldest surviving liturgical books of its kind from the Piast-era Polish church. Niue's licensing arrangement with the Polish mint and various cultural institutions has generated a sprawling series of issues tied to Polish heritage, a commercially driven program that has little to do with Niue itself but funds the island's budget through seigniorage.
