LIAZ — Liberecké Automobilové Závody — was a Czechoslovak truck manufacturer whose heavy vehicles became workhorses across the Eastern Bloc from the 1950s onward. The 110-55 model, introduced in the 1980s, was a cab-over-engine design built for long-haul freight and saw wide deployment across Soviet-aligned transport networks. Niue has issued dozens of coins in collaboration with Czech and Slovak mints honoring Central European industrial and transport heritage, targeting collector markets in the region rather than any domestic circulation purpose.
