| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait, wearing a tiara and pearl earring with necklace visible. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field, while the denomination 1 DOLLAR and issuer TUVALU with date 2007 are arranged around the lower portion of the coin. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished proof field, with fine detail in the hair and crown. The overall design is characteristic of the fourth definitive effigy used on Commonwealth coinage from the late 1990s onward. |
