| Opis rewersu | The reverse features a richly detailed antiqued high-relief composition evoking the city of Gdańsk as a principal node of the historic Amber Route. A muscular male figure, rendered in the classical style, dominates the right side of the field, holding a long spear or lance and striding dynamically across rocky terrain. Behind him, a medieval fortified townscape with towers and gabled buildings is depicted in the upper field. In the lower left, a relief of an ancient Roman coin is incorporated into the design. A genuine cabochon of natural amber is inlaid into the left portion of the field. The arc legend 'GDAŃSK' runs along the upper right rim and 'SZLAK BURSZTYNOWY' along the left rim. |
