A muscular male figure, rendered in the classical style, dominates the right side of the field, holding a long spear or lance and striding dynamically across rocky terrain. Behind him, a medieval fortified townscape with towers and gabled buildings is depicted in the upper field. In the lower left, a relief of an ancient Roman coin is incorporated into the design.
