Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-layered commemorative composition evoking the historical city of Elbląg and the ancient Amber Route. To the left, a detailed relief of a Gothic church with a tower and adjacent buildings represents the cityscape of Elbląg. At centre, within a wreath of laurel or grain, two facing busts rendered in the manner of ancient Roman coinage are depicted, referencing the trade and cultural connections of the Amber Route. To the right, a large ancient ceramic vessel or amphora is shown in relief. A genuine inlaid amber stone, deep reddish-brown in colour, is set into the lower centre of the coin. The arched bilingual legend ELBLĄG SZLAK BURSZTYNOWY (Elbląg Amber Route) runs along the upper periphery.
