| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and with elaborately coiffed hair, after the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left periphery, and SOLOMON ISLANDS along the upper right. The engraver's initials IRB appear in small characters below the portrait's truncation. The date 2011 is positioned at the bottom of the field in the exergue area, against a deeply mirrored proof-like background. |

| 背面描述 | Portrait bust of Diana, Princess of Wales, facing slightly left, depicted with her characteristic short swept hairstyle and drop earrings, rendered in high relief against a polished dark field. To her right, a gilt rose with stem and leaves serves as the central decorative motif, symbolising the Princess's association with the English rose. The upper arc bears the legend THE ROYAL DYNASTIES surmounted by a crown device, while the inscriptions 50TH BIRTHDAY and DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES appear in the central field to the right of the portrait. The denomination 1 DOLLAR is inscribed vertically along the right periphery. The coin is further embellished with applied crystal stones set at intervals around the inner border of raised dots. |

Issued three years after the Solomon Islands commemorative program expanded aggressively into the collector market, this piece belongs to a wave of Diana memorial coins that flooded the numismatic market throughout the 2000s and into the 2010s. Pacific island nations — many with negligible economic ties to the British royal family — became prolific issuers of such pieces, largely through licensing arrangements with private minting firms based in Europe.
Silver-plated copper issues of this type were produced in large quantities for the gift and collector trade rather than any circulation purpose. KM# 315 carries no particular rarity or die distinction within the series.
