Obverse description Central raised circular field bearing the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, diademed and with elaborately styled hair, as modeled by Ian Rank-Broadley; the engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation of the bust, with the Mint of Poland mintmark (mw) to the left. The surrounding annular legend reads ELIZABETH II to the left and NIUE 2018 to the right, with 1 DOLLAR at the base, all separated by raised dots. The fineness mark Ag 999 appears incuse in the lower-left corner of the square planchet, outside the circular border.

Reverse description The reverse features a full-color reproduction of Titian's painting 'Tobias and the Angel' (c. 1540–1545), set within a raised circular central field on a square planchet. The composition depicts the Archangel Raphael, clad in a flowing red robe, with large spread wings, gently guiding the young Tobias by the hand across a landscape, with a small white dog accompanying them at lower left. The square border surrounding the circular image is elaborately ornamented with deeply struck baroque-style scrollwork, beaded borders, and floral motifs in high relief, lending the piece a distinctive decorative character. No legends or inscriptions appear on the reverse.
