| Obverse description | Central raised circular field bearing the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, diademed and with elaborately styled hair, as modeled by Ian Rank-Broadley; the engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation of the bust, with the Mint of Poland mintmark (mw) to the left. The surrounding annular legend reads ELIZABETH II to the left and NIUE 2018 to the right, with 1 DOLLAR at the base, all separated by raised dots. The fineness mark Ag 999 appears incuse in the lower-left corner of the square planchet, outside the circular border. |
