Commenti	The Central Monetary Authority replaced the Fiji Currency Board in 1974, and this note belongs to the first series issued under that new institution — a body that itself lasted only until the Reserve Bank of Fiji took over in 1984. Two signature combinations exist for P#71, reflecting a change in senior personnel during the note's production run rather than any reissue or major revision to the series. Thomas De La Rue's work on Pacific colonial and post-colonial currency during this period was prolific, and the watermark remains the primary security feature — modest by later standards but consistent with regional practice at the time.
