Reverse description A highly stylised Chinese dragon rendered in bold relief occupies the full rectangular field, its sinuous, scale-covered body coiling in an S-curve amid billowing clouds depicted in the four corners. The dragon's horned and whiskered head faces left with an open mouth, its four clawed limbs outstretched, and a flaming element visible to the right of the body. A spherical pearl appears beneath the curling tail in the lower field, symbolising wisdom and good fortune in traditional Chinese iconography. The Perth Mint's mintmark P appears to the right near the upper portion of the field, and the designer's initials JM are inscribed near the lower body of the dragon.
