附加信息

The 4th portrait of Elizabeth II, sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, was introduced across Commonwealth coinage in 1998 following the standard ten-year rotation that had governed royal portraiture since the 1950s. Australia's adoption of it on the dollar denomination replaced the Raphael Maklouf effigy that had served since 1985. The silver proof version of this date was struck at Canberra specifically for collector sets, with mintage tightly controlled relative to the base-metal circulation issue.
