Beschrijving keerzijde Two kookaburras perched side by side on a branch, rendered in high relief with naturalistic feather detail against a plain field. The inscriptions THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA arcs along the upper border and 1 OZ. 999 SILVER appears in the lower field, with the Perth Mint's P mintmark and the denomination 100 and date 1999 completing the legend. A small privy mark depicting the U.S. State Quarter reverse design for Connecticut is positioned to the upper left of the central device. The composition and weight specifications confirm this as a one troy ounce fine silver bullion issue.

Aanvullende informatie

The Connecticut privy mark on this Kookaburra issue commemorates the 1788 ratification of the U.S. Constitution by Connecticut — the fifth state to ratify — and was produced as part of a broader series of privy-marked Kookaburras issued through a collaboration between the Perth Mint and American distributors targeting the U.S. collector market during the late 1990s. These privy variants were struck in strictly limited quantities alongside the standard bullion issue, giving them a collectible premium well beyond their silver content.

The 1999 date places this coin in the final year of the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy's debut on Australian coinage.
