The "Reaper" series from New Zealand's Niue issues — struck under the effigy authority of Charles III following Elizabeth II's death in September 2022 — occupies an odd commercial niche: legal tender coins designed primarily as bullion-adjacent collectibles for the death-themed numismatic market.
