| 裏面の説明 | A large double-armed patriarchal cross (cross of Lorraine) occupies the central field, its four arms richly decorated with high-relief floral and foliate motifs including roses, tulips, and intertwining foliage rendered in the traditional Podpolanie folk art style of central Slovakia. At the intersection of the arms, a prominent stylised tulip bloom forms the centrepiece of the composition. The entire design is framed by a continuous border of delicately engraved floral and vine tendrils, echoing the decorative vocabulary of Slovak folk embroidery. The field is otherwise plain, allowing the elaborate relief work of the cross to dominate the composition. |
