The central text panel in cursive script reads the promise-to-pay clause, with the denomination ONE DOLLAR in bold letterpress below. Serial number and date (Salisbury, 2nd August, 1979) appear at lower centre, with the Governor's manuscript signature to the right of the text panel. |

The bank name RESERVE BANK OF RHODESIA is inscribed across the top in bold lettering, and ONE DOLLAR appears at the base of the vignette. A blank unprinted panel occupies the right portion of the note, framed by a fine geometric border. |
