Descrizione del dritto	Printed in blue on a light blue underprint, the obverse bears the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia seal at centre-left and the Rhodesian coat of arms to the right, with an intaglio vignette of the Zimbabwe Bird on the far left margin. The central text panel in cursive script reads the promise-to-pay clause, with the denomination ONE DOLLAR in bold letterpress below. Serial number and date (Salisbury, 2nd August, 1979) appear at lower centre, with the Governor's manuscript signature to the right of the text panel.

Descrizione del rovescio	Printed in deep blue on a pale blue underprint, the reverse carries a large intaglio vignette of a tobacco field in full leaf, with rolling hills and a mountain range in the background under a guilloché border. The bank name RESERVE BANK OF RHODESIA is inscribed across the top in bold lettering, and ONE DOLLAR appears at the base of the vignette. A blank unprinted panel occupies the right portion of the note, framed by a fine geometric border.
