Polymer note with a light blue and green multicolour guilloche underprint. At centre-right, an intaglio portrait of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in full ceremonial regalia faces left, with his signature and the inscription SULTAN below. To the left, a vignette of the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is set within an arched window motif, overlaid on a complex geometric underprint. A sprig of the national flower Bunga Simpor (Dillenia suffruticosa) appears at centre, and the denomination B$1 is printed in the upper right corner alongside a holographic security element. |

P#41 continues the Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam's long-running polymer dollar series, which has been produced by Note Printing Australia since the 1990s. Brunei was among the earliest Southeast Asian issuers to commit fully to polymer for its circulating notes, a decision driven largely by the country's equatorial humidity — a genuine enemy of cotton-fibre currency.
The 2024 date marks a new signature cycle rather than a redesign; the underlying artwork carries over from earlier issues in the series.
