Above the shield, a radiant sun with a facing human visage emits long straight rays into the upper field. A small five-pointed star appears in the lower field below the wreath. The circumferential legend REPUBLICA ORIENTAL DEL URUGUAY is arranged along the inner border, with a beaded border encircling the entire design. |
