The legends are executed in a compressed Naskh-derived script typical of Yemeni hammered silver of the 9th AH century. The flan is irregular with areas of weakness and slight chipping at the edges, consistent with hand-struck production. The overall design conveys the ornate artistic sensibility of Rasulid mint work. |
