The inscriptions, rendered in angular and cursive Arabic, fill the entire face without figurative imagery, consistent with Islamic epigraphic numismatic tradition. The die impression is slightly off-centre, with portions of the marginal legend visible along the periphery. The surface shows natural aging with areas of toning and minor pitting typical of medieval Islamic silver dirhams. |
