| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the coat of arms of Andorra at centre, depicting a quartered shield with the traditional heraldic elements including the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell, the stripes of the County of Foix, the ox of Béarn, and the vertical bars of Catalonia, all enclosed within an ornate cartouche. The national motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR appears on a ribbon beneath the shield. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1 D. and the date 2009 are inscribed in the lower field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a stylised architectural rendering of the Sanctuary of Meritxell, the national shrine of Andorra, designed by architect Ricardo Bofill and rebuilt after the 1972 fire. The modern church facade with its distinctive vertical tower is depicted in the left portion of the field, alongside the lower traditional stone structure. The inscription SANTUARI DE MERITXELL appears in two lines to the right of the building. The design is framed by a fine beaded inner border. |
