The national motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR appears on a ribbon beneath the shield. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1 D. and the date 2009 are inscribed in the lower field. |

The modern church facade with its distinctive vertical tower is depicted in the left portion of the field, alongside the lower traditional stone structure. The inscription SANTUARI DE MERITXELL appears in two lines to the right of the building. The design is framed by a fine beaded inner border. |
